Honeymoon Part I

Portland, Maine

Although we checked out Portland a few years ago I knew there was so much more to taste and see. Clearly.

Where we stayed:

This was the first and last day of our honeymoon so we stayed at a Courtyard Marriott near the hotel since we got there so late and had to leave so early. It was good, did the trick, and had a Starbucks. Done and done.

Where we ate:
  • Eventide Oyster Company- my god this place was good. Like over the top. Their lobster roll is still something I can taste at this moment almost a year later. The oysters are just... man. So good. The place in general is very cool, very Maine, it is a must.
  • The Thirsty Pig- beer and brats, okay love it
  • Ramen House- Best. Ramen. I. Have. Had. It is busy, the line is long, all for good reason. W.O.W.
  • The Porthole Restaurant and Pub- Great place with an even better deck on the water. I dont know that I would recommend the food, but I would recommend wine/beer on the porch
  • Bite Into Maine- STOP WHAT YOU ARE DOING, and make sure this is on your places to eat. Their lobster roll will change your life. For real. They are located different places through out the week but on Saturdays they are at the state park by the famous lighthouse Fort William State Park (which obviously is a must if you are visiting Portland) so make sure to go, eat their lobster roll, and thank me later

What we did:

We ate. Period. That is what you do in Maine. And go see the lighthouse in Fort William State Park and go to Bite Into Maine food truck there to get what is pictured below
