San Francisco, CA (#NapaJaggs)

San Francisco, CA

Where we stayed:

We have stayed in both Union Square and Fisherman's Wharf. I liked our location in Union Square better. It is the most central place in SanFran. Next to all of the great shopping and in the heart of the city.  You will visit fisherman's wharf for lunch and enjoy Pier 39 but besides that it is VERY touristy and not really where you want to stay.  Union Square is also walking distance to most everything in SanFran and has central transportation to everywhere.

Our rental car came from Fox Rentals. They are the cheapest out there. Make sure you dont get rental insurance with your car bc that can save you TONS since your normal insurance covers you.

In SanFran, I think we stayed at the Union Square Marriott and the Fairmont and it was the perfect location with the perfect price. We planned our meals really well so that we had big meals (that cost money) but then we did a lot of eating from the streets since their street food IS UNREAL!!!

Where we ate:

YOU MUST EAT AT, The House (need a reservation). Game changer of a place. Also on Saturdays at the Ferry Building there is a indoor and outdoor market with some of the best local vendors around. (I would 1000945% suggest you being in SanFran on a Saturday if possible to check this shit out) You can just stroll the area and taste food. There are also performers that the kids can watch. You can literally spend all day there! But go there anyway if you are not there on a Saturday. You will love it and love me for suggesting it

  • Go to happy hour at Top of the Mark, it is ontop of a hotel, that I cant remember at this second but just good Top of the Mark. It is a cocktail/lounge/jazz killer bar. 360 views of the city. Great drinks, like great.
  • Tonys Pizza in the Little Italy Area, famous.
  • Slanted Door- Vietanamese food in the Ferry Building
  • Presidio Social Club-A++ atmosphere and cocktails
  • Amarena- fab Italian joint in a neighborhood that is a MUST!!!!!!!!!!!
  • Waterbar- great happy hour by the bay bridge!!
  • Bourbon and Branch- old school cocktails, need a password to get in
  • Magnolia's- Height and Ashbury, great bar!! great beers!
  • Mission Chinese- just do it, order it at your hotel or wherever you are staying
  • Swan Oyster Depot- wait in line, it is just... do it
  • 21st Amendment Brewery- Hell or Highwater Watermelon Beer (talk to me like lovers do)

A side note:

Go through Carmel/Monterrey/Pebble Beach and if you are then you will just spend the day being in awe of the scene. This is about 2 and half from SanFran. god it is so freaking pretty and we literally spend the whole day driving the golf course/road and took picture every two miles

We did the drive from SanFran to LA. Holy hell it is long. But as long you know that going in you will be good. It is pretty, really pretty, but long. Then again we had a PT Cruiser and I feel like Jaggs was dreaming of driving Hwy 1 in a mustang with 22's. Soooo yeah he wasnt feeling the whole vibe. But loved that we got to do that together and check that off the bucket list.
